Established 12 years ago by Managing Director David Coates as an advertising agency specialising in the travel market, Elmscott has evolved in recent years to meet the needs of clients through strategic evaluation, creative design and marketing services, combining the talents of a dynamic team of highly experienced professionals.
David comments: “Our refreshed website better communicates what we’re about, the services we offer and the value we bring to our clients, reflecting our forward-thinking, highly creative approach to marketing communications and demonstrating our ‘big enough to do the job, small enough to care’ philosophy.”
Elmscott’s reputation for delivering commercial results through strategically developed, creative solutions has earned it clients in a variety of other sectors, including property, education and security, working on all levels, from one-on-one internal presentations to international multimedia campaigns interacting with the masses.

Elmscott appoints 3:nine PR
Friday, 30 October 2009 10:39 | | |
Marketing communications agency Elmscott, whose clients include Regus Offices, Newmark, The Oceanico Group, and Lambeth College, has appointed 3:nine Communications to raise the agency's profile after a three-way pitch.
Elmscott was established in 1997 as an advertising agency and initially specialised in the travel, property and recruitment industries, building up a roster of clients including The Romanian Tourist Office, Fred Olsen Cruises, and The Co-op Travel Group.
Since then the company has broadened its services to include marketing consultancy, creative design and brand strategy and has developed expertise in the education, facilities management and public sectors offering complete marketing communications solutions.
3:nine Communications Managing Partner Colin Hallmark, said, “Elmscott has built a solid reputation in its core sectors, but is less well known elsewhere. The agency is doing some great work for clients and has a fascinating story to tell. Our goal is to position Elmscott in front of marketing directors and decision makers and support its new business drive.”
Managing Director of Elmscott, David Coates, commented, “Our work in the travel sector culminated with the recent global campaign for Oceanico Prestige Residents Club, which included brand development, product launch, an international filming production and TV spots in the UK.
“But we now recognise that we need to raise our profile and tell the world about all the other great work we do in other sectors as well as the broader integrated marketing communications services we offer.”
3:nine Communications was shortlisted from ten agencies, including large marketing services groups and smaller independents, invited to submit proposals. Elmscott then selected 3:nine from the three agencies invited to pitch.
David Coates added, “We were impressed by the work that 3:nine has done for other clients in the field. They clearly understand the marketing services sector, and have experienced people who can deliver.”

New home, same Elmscott
Since 1552 Bluecoats has been home to many, and as of Monday 13th July 2009 is now ours. Our surroundings have changed, but our mission remains the same; to deliver intelligent end to end commercial communications solutions, from strategic evaluation of your business and products to the execution of your marketing message and beyond.
For some 400 years Hertford was the home of Christ's Hospital and the Bluecoat girls and boys that inhabited it. The name is misleading however, as the institution was not only a hospital but a school, established under the same Royal Charter a St.Thomas's Hospital. Nor was it, as widely believed, a private school, but a charitable institution
The Girls Grammar School was opened in 1783 to the left of the main gates, with the new headmistress’s house to the right.
Between 1902 and 1906 the boys were moved to new premises in Horsham, Sussex, and the 17th century cottages that housed them were demolished to make way for eight new blocks and a chapel that were opened in 1906 by The Prince and Princess of Wales.
Further expansion took place in 1928 with the opening of further buildings. However, in 1985 the girls joined the boys in Horsham and the school was sold off. Some buildings were demolished and flats built, whilst the remaining buildings became offices and sheltered housing.
